I have had it mostly on Gai Lan or other vegetable only dishes. It is also done, though less fragrantly, with Moo Goo Gai Pan. No matter what i try, I can't get it right. Help! What am I missing?

I know what you mean about getting sick of a dish. As a kid my mom fed us endless rice casseroles at lunch time until I could barely face them. I recently made one up and it was great nostalgic comfort food - simple, fast and tasty. By no means are they haute cuisine but I find some of these simple dishes very satisfying.
