Made this as an appetizer for a party last night & it was great! I cut the tofu into more pieces, but other than that followed the recipe. Also, I don't have a deep fryer but it worked well enough in a shallow skillet.

Have made tofu several ways, but this definitely is THE one to keep! Recipe is so yummy it's kind of addictive and hard to stop eating.

I really would like to try this recipe, because I like tofu, it’s healthy and I like it a lot. My mother served tofu with ginger and soy sauce on top and in miso soup. I’ve only tried deep fried tofu once, in a restaurant and it was good. Unfortunately, my husband does not like it because as you say, it is bland and mushy.
